It was established in a small Swiss town by Moishe Dreyfuss back in 1895.
Within twelve years, Georges and Sylvain Dreyfuss opened an office in Britain to import the family watches. The company continued to grow, and in 1925 they introduced the now famous Rotary logo, the 'winged wheel'. Then in 1934 Rotary launched its first shockproof watch using innovative technology. Following that in 1940 Rotary became the offical timepiece for the British Army, a huge honour.
Moving on in 1942 Rotary launched its first automatic watch powered by the movement of the wearer's wrist. A significant step in the watch market. Following from this in the 60's, apprentice schemes and skilled training allow dedicated staff to enjoy long and developing careers within the company.
1973 was another breakthrough year, as Rotary launched its first quartz watch using new electronic oscillator technology. This is watch nowerdays most people know as "battery watches". Rotary kept moving forward, keeping the family orientation side of the business in full flow, with a 4th generation Dreyfuss taking over in the later 90's.
On another side to Rotary in 2002 they won an award for being the best supplier, and infact in 2003 won the same award.
The company now sells to over 35 countries and is a worldwide recognisable brand.
